I highly recommend this book!! I’m going to buy copies for everyone I know who has a dog because it is that good. Brenda Bryan does a great job at showing you how to grow your yoga practice while creating a special bond between you and your dog! My dog loves the time we spend together during the yoga…excuse me Doga…and has quickly learned that when the mat comes out that it is time to relax and stretch! You will love the transformation your dog undergoes as he or she learns to work with you during the session. Absolutely wonderful!

What a delightful book! I am planning on adopting a dog in the future and will love sharing yoga with her. Brenda has inspired me to share more then just walks with my Dogi.

sweet, simple, and deceptively profound., June 1, 2009

I am a huge dog lover and my little puppy (almost 8 months) loves to try to play with me when I do yoga. I always thought it was kind of annoying, until someone told me about “doga.” So I was excited to get a copy of Barking Buddha. I thought I’d get some simple yoga poses and an entertaining read – but there’s a lot more. As I read the book and tried some of the suggestions, I found myself “contacting” Kanga (my pup) with a new, more deep sense of connection. I’m not sure I’m saying this very eloquently, but the bottom line is that I thought I was pretty good at developing connections with dogs – most of my working day is spent with them – and yet in following the advice in this book I discovered a new sense of stillness, even while in “action” while moving on the mat. Highly recommended for all dog lovers.
