Pet Rescue by Judy Prepares new Adoption Center, Will You Be There? - 468x60 Pet Rescue by Judy Finds Permanent Home Sanford, Fla. (September 17, 2008)—Judy Sarullo, founder of Pet Rescue by Judy, announced today that after many years of looking, hoping and dreaming, the nonprofit organization has finally found a permanent home. The 501(c)(3) organization has executed a lease with Results RE Partners on a 4000-square foot building at 2620 Iroquois Avenue in Sanford to house its rescue and adoption operations. The building is easily accessible from Central Floridas 417, 17 CR 427, SR 46, SR 434. Beginning with an older sheep dog from her home more than 20 years ago, Judy has dedicated her life to the rescue, rehabilitation, resocialization and rehoming of cats and dogs in Central Florida. She has been recognized on many occasions for her tireless dedication to animal welfare including being awarded the local Jefferson Award in 2005. Im different because I take in the old, the ugly and the sick because they all deserve a chance to recuperate and find a wonderful home. Its really wonderful when I run across a family who adopted from me and they tell me how much they love them and how much theyve added to their familys lives. This is not a business to me, its about saving the animals, said Sarullo. After losing her shelter in January 2006 due to rezoning, Judys plight became well known in the area. A petition requesting aid from ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition garnered more than 42800 signatures of support, predominately

  1. We are so excited to have a location for a permanent shelter for the abandoned cats and dogs of Central Florida. It will be unique in our community, a non-breed specfic shelter where no adoptable pet is euthanized. But we need help ~ both skilled and unskilled volunteers, financial support, item donations. Join our volunteers. Make a difference. Together we can build a shelter to be proud of. Contact us at fundraising @ petrescuebyjudy. com

  3. Our new 4,000 square food building is in Sanford Florida. We will have rooms for cats, rooms for dogs, heck, we may even have rooms for people!!! We’ll even be located near the wonderful Sanford dog park, making it easy for volunteers to exercise dogs. And would you believe we are even next door to a vet? I’m telling you, the stars are aligned and we are feeling good! Please, help get the building ready for the pets. Volunteers needed!

What I love about this video the most, is I believe everyone person shown in it, is a volunteer, or a foster/volunteer. That is just simply amazing.
