I knew in advance that homeopathic remedies have no basis in science. But our old dog keeps getting more and more anxious despite the meds he’s on. So I decided to give it a try anyway. And I really wanted this stuff to work (our dog just seems so miserable sometimes). And, you know what, we thought we did observe something at first. He would seem to get calmer after a dosage. But then after a few days we kept looking (and hoping) to see some gradual change for the better. Occasionally we would talk ourselves into thinking he was just a bit better. But after several days, it’s become apparent that this stuff isn’t doing him any good at all. I suspect the early response we saw was just a result of distracting him from his anxiety by forcing this stuff in his mouth (by the way, he hates it). We’re going to keep with it until we use up the bottle (why not?), but I’m not expecting to see anything based on what I’ve seen so far. It just confirms my more reasoned expectations: “alternative” medicines are alternative because they really don’t work.
